I am looking for an app that will show Visio files well on my iPad. Any suggestions?
Hi Jonathan, The link for download is working and Downloads a Document file, but when trying to open it says “Error in file”.
I tried in MS office 2010, 2007, 2003 and Open Office. All in vain.
Could you upload the Visio *.vss file, it is smaller and easy to load in Visio
The downloaded *.doc file doesn’t open.
OOPS, Guys just download it and change the file extension to .vss (Work as Charm)…
Sorry for the issue. I’ve uploaded a new updated file in .vss with even more shapes. Download works now.
As far as I know, there is no apps for now to open a .vsd file on iPad. If you want to show Visio file on your iPad, you could save a copy as .pdf. When Microsoft launches Office for iPad in November(supposed to) it might support Visio file as well.

Hi, I’m still getting a .doc file when I download the file. Renaming to a .vss does not allow me to open in Visio
Even though i’ve seen your comment on how you fixed the virtualization_modern.vss link, I still can’t open the file. I’ve tried saving the file as a vss but am unable to open the stencils using Visio 2007(error is it’s not a Visio file or it has become corrupted). Can you please help? By the way….your site is awesome! All other stencils work perfect.

Hello there. Trying to download your stencils for virtualiztion and although the link shows as VSS when IE downloads it I am prompeted to save it as a DOC. When I change the extension Visio throws an error saying it is either not a Visio file or it is corrupt. Chrome downloads the file as a VSS but produces same error as previously stated.
Would love to use your handiwork, so any help would be appreciated!

There is an issue with the Visio file for Modern and Virtualisation. I’m working to fix it.

I’ve tried to open the Virtualization_Modern.vss file after removing the .doc suffix and get an error that the file is corrupt. Any suggestions?

Your ZIP file is still showing as corrupt after download.
I have attempted 3 times through different download managers just to ensure it wasnt me.
What version of ZIP tool are you using to create this ZIP file?

The stencil set “Virtualization, Microsoft and other modern IT shapes ” does not unzip – it has a problem. Have re-downloaded multiple times.

I jus downloaded your Virtualization and modern IT shapes Version 1.1 shapes and I’m using them now for documentation. First of all, fantastic work.
I thought you might like some constructive criticism though: These shapes are all fantastic icons on their own, but you can use very many of them together. It would really help if you could produce a library of components that could be used together. I.E. Images should share the same theme and perspective.
